These includes all the protections discussed in the plans above, but also include dealing with estate planning for blended families, advanced asset protetction, special needs planning for loved ones with healthcare issues, complex business succession plans, disinheriting family members, creating subtrusts to for grandchildren, Pet Trusts, handling family owned property; and more; and

Our estate planning services combine the tools and flexibility to meet the level of planning and protection you need right now, and change as your situation changes.

DURABLE POWERS OF ATTORNEY

Not sure what a Durable Power of Attorney (POA) does? In general a POA is legal document that grants someone else the authority to act on your behalf in legal, financial, or medical matters. The person granting the power, known as the “principal,” can specify the extent and scope of the authority granted to the appointed individual, known as the “agent” or “attorney-in-fact.”

Our clients typically require some form of Durable Powers of Attorney, which means that it remains effective even if the grantor is incapacitated. As part of our Elder Law services, we also draft Elder Law Powers of Attorney. These contain special provisions geared toward retirees and seniors.

Do you have pets? WE ALSO DRAFT FLORIDA PET TRUSTS – For your Horse, Dog, Cat, Bird, and other pets!

TALLAHASSEE WILLS AND TRUST ATTORNEY

WILLS v. TRUSTS?

Do you know the difference between a will and a trust? Not many people actually do. There are an equal number of misconceptions as to why you might desire a will or a trust.

A will is a legal document that outlines how you want your property and possessions to be distributed upon your death. It allows you to name beneficiaries, designate guardians for minor children, and specify any other final wishes. However, a will must go through the probate process, which can be time-consuming and expensive. On the other hand, a trust is a legal arrangement where you transfer ownership of your assets to a trustee, who manages them on behalf of your chosen beneficiaries.

Unlike a will, a trust typically avoids probate, offering more privacy, efficiency, and flexibility in asset distribution. Additionally, trusts can provide added benefits such as asset protection, incapacity planning, and minimizing estate taxes. Ultimately, the decision between a will and a trust depends on your specific circumstances, goals, and preferences in estate planning.

WE PLAN FOR ALL PHASES: YOUNG FAMILIES, COLLEGE STUDENTS, EMPTY NESTERS, ELDER LAW PLANNING

Did you just start your family? Are you a parent with minor children? Do you have children in college? Are you an Empty nester? Are you ready to retire? Do you have grandchildren?

We can help planning in all these phases, or as you transition from one phase of life to another.

These and other significant life events alter how we live. It is in these times that you need to look into your plan (or update your estate plans).  Don’t wait until it is too late. These life events, illnesses and accidents happen. Click the button below to find out more about our Elder Law services for seniors.

Leverage Florida Estate Planning Attorney Conticello’s experience to create, or update your estate plan, so you can confidently transition through these life events. We know that you spent years working hard, saving and possibly even sacrificing, just to accumulate what you have.  Don’t let these life event transitions jeopardize all that hard work. By creating, or modifying, your estate plan you can ensure you, your spouse, and your loved ones are taken care of, and you can enjoy this next phase. Especially if this time to retire!!!

FLORIDA ELDER LAW PLANNING

As you transition into your Golden Years you, your spouse, or a loved-one are likely to have specialized healthcare and Elder Law Planning needs. This may including needs such as, homehealth care, assisted living care, and nursing home care.

Attorney Conticello has specialized training to assist your Elder Law Planning needs. We can help you analyze your eligibility and apply for government issued benefits, such as VA Benefits or Florida Medicaid benefits. We help you by analyzing your situation and deploying elder law planning techniques aimed to get you (or a loved one) eligibile and approved for these benefits as soon as possible, and without you having to spend your entire retirment funds or liquidate asstes. These planning techniques are aimed to allow you legally to obtain these benefits without jeopardizing the wealth and assets you built up to use during your retirement, or to pass along to your loved ones.

RECENTLY DIVORCED?

We help recent divorcees. If you have just gone through a divorce, now is the time to change your estate plan. These documents may still list your ex-spouse as your beneficiary, trustee of your estate, personal representative of your will, healthcare surrogate to make healthcare decisions for you, and your agent for your durable powers of attorney.

  PERSONALIZED PLAN AND FEES

Our Estate Planning pricing is determined by the complexities of the plan you ultimately choose, and our fees hit the junction between value and effectiveness. We do not believe in the one form fits all approach.

Typical estate planning fees start at around $2,000 for the most simple plans on up to those not worried about keeping family out of court, to $10,000 and above depending on the level of complexity and asset protection you desire to avoid the negative consequences of your wealth getting held up in probate, court disputes, or going to government.

Cheap estate planning is like buying a used car from a discounted car lot. They look like they will meet your needs, until you take it home and then it doesn’t work.  The only exception is that if you get your estate plan wrong, your family, loved ones, pets, charities are the ones who pay the price.  Every estate plan that we craft is reviewed carefully by a licensed Estate Planning attorney.

Our offices are located in Tallahassee.  However, we provide Estate Planning services throughout the state of Florida.

Tallahassee Estate Planning Attorney Conticello and the staff of Conticello Law, look forward to being part of your team!!!
